Rogers, perhaps best known of his hit song, ‘The Gambler,’ died, it was announced on Saturday. He was 81.

“I love what he says, I have to admit.” That was what Kenny Rogers had to say about Donald Trump in 2015. Today, as the world mourns the loss of one of the greatest performers of all time, that sentiment will be shared in dollars. According to Sandy Batt, spokesperson for Kenny’s wife, Dominique, will be split between his family — and Trump 2020, reports TatersGonnaTate.

“Kenny wanted Trump to win, so this is the best way for that to happen. Kenny has always been an island in the stream of Trump’s presidency. He once told him during a dinner in Palm Beach that there was no way he should ‘fold ’em and walk away.’ Trump told him not to worry.”

Kenny Rogers worked with the Trump fundraising campaign, offering free “Kenny Rogers Roasters” meals to staff members while allowing them to refill drinks at “half price.”

Kenny Rogers Roasters is a chain of chicken-based restaurants founded in 1991 by country musician Kenny Rogers and former KFC CEO John Y. Brown, Jr., who is a former governor of the U.S. state of Kentucky. Brown had also been an investor in Kentucky Fried Chicken from 1964 to 1971. In addition to his successful music career, Rogers had also appeared in a number of commercials for the Dole Food Company before this restaurant chain was founded.

Rogers, a singer, songwriter, actor, producer, photographer, and entrepreneur, sported a net worth of $250 million, according to CelebrityNetWorth.

The country crooner was born in Texas born on August 21, 1938 and had more than 70 hit singles across country and pop music charts. The Gambler and Kenny, are considered to be some of the most influential country albums of all time. He was also voted the “Favorite Singer of All Time” in the 1986 USA Today and People Magazine poll. He has received hundreds of awards including AMAs, Grammys, ACMs, and CMAs, as well as a lifetime achievement award for his six decade spanning career.
