At least one of the supercars damaged in the accident appears to be a high-spec model fitted with the desirable Carbon Fiber Track Package, which costs an extra $18,000. Ford also recently announced it will be offering free performance driving lessons to help buyers tame the 760-horsepower Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 at the limit, reports CarBuzz.

Via CarBuzz:

The two cars being carried on the trailer appear to be brand new 2020 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500s en route to their new owners. They can be seen resting on their sides after falling off the trailer and smashing onto the highway. One is finished in Iconic Silver while the other is finished in Grabber Lime. Northbound traffic was stopped in all lanes for several hours while the cars were rescued and driven away on flatbed trucks.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
