JUPITER, FL. (THECOUNT) — Multiple people are said to be dead after a vehicle was struck by a train in Jupiter, Florida on Saturday, according to reports.

A car and a train collided near Jupiter Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. on Bee Line Highway just north of the Palm Beach International Raceway, according to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The vehicle sustained heavy damage and the occupants inside the vehicle died, reports CBS12.

Firefighters also evaluated passengers inside the train for injuries.

According to Amtrak, The train departed from New York.

NTSB and other law enforcement are arriving at the scene of the horror crash to investigate.

The train tracks will remain closed until further notice.
