NEW GARDEN TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — UPDATE: The following vehicle occupants were pronounced dead at the scene: Nathan Royal, Liking Soeung and Thomas Lopez — all of Philadelphia, reports ChesterCounty.
In a statement sent to news outlets, the Herr’s snack company commented on a horror crash that killed three employees on Wednesday in New Garden Township, PA, according to reports. Eight people were also seriously injured in the passenger van wreck.

Herr’s comfirmed in the statement that a van that a crash yesterday near the Route 1 bypass, may have contained employees of a temp service employed by the snack company.
“Our Herr’s family and company is deeply saddened by this tragedy. It is truly a shocking and saddening event felt by us all. We offer our most sincere sympathy to the individuals and families involved,” a Herr’s spokesperson said.
Officials say, the van was traveling on Route 1, when for unknown reasons, it crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then plowed through a road sign, entered a culvert and rolled over an unknown number of times.
The victims of a deadly accident in New Garden Township have been identified as employees of a temporary staffing service that works with Herr’s snacks. Wednesday’s crash killed three people and injured eight others on the Route 1 bypass, reports PhillyCBS.
There is still no word on what caused the crash.
