PALM COAST, FL. (THECOUNT) Two people were shot, one dead, as they sat in a car near the Circle K on Palm Coast Parkway early this morning.
One person reported died and the other was transported to Halifax hospital in Daytona Beach with unknown gunshot injuries.

The weapon involved appears to have been an AK-47 assault rifle. The assailant or assailants were still at large.
The two individuals drove themselves to Palm Coast Fire Station 25 on Belle Terre Parkway immediately after the shooting. Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies got to the station and performed CPR on one of the two individuals, who was either already dead or died shortly afterward. Firefighters on duty at the time at the station were never in danger. They then tended to the second victim, reports FlaglerLive.
The shooting took place just before 4 a.m.
Station 25 is currently a crime scene, as is the scene of the shooting.
