HERSHEY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Charlotte Chaplin, of Hershey, PA, has been identified as the victim in a fatal apartment fire early Thursday morning in Hershey.
Chaplin, 49, was found deceased in the residence located in the 500 block of West Chocolate Avenue after firefighters responded to reports of a fire.

First responders were unable to enter the building due to heavy smoke conditions.
Police say Hershey Volunteer Fire Department were able to gain access into the residence and put out the fire, reports Local21News.
Chaplin’s body was later located inside the apartment, according to officials.
Two officers and an off-duty firefighter were transported to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and unknown injuries.
The fire is currently under investigation, as no cause has been identified.
