LOUISVILLE, KY. (THECOUNT) — Brian Price has been identified as the victim in what police say is a probable murder in Jefferson County, Kentucky on Sunday.

Price, 41, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the historic Cherokee Triangle neighborhood of Louisville on Sunday, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

What began as a death investigation around 2:30 a.m. is now being called a murder after police say they found Price dead in the the 1000 block of Everett Ave, in the Cherokee Triangle.

Police responded to a call of a person down. Upon arrival, they discovered Price with a gunshot injury inside his apartment.

LMPD Initially considered it a death investigation–until hours later, when homicide detectives switched gears, reported Wave3.

“Upon further investigation there was evidence homicide detectives decided that it appeared to be a homicide and not self inflicted,” LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said.

There are no suspects at this time and police provided no motive information.
