STATEN ISLAND, NY. (THECOUNT) — Johynita Jordan has been identified as the New York woman found dead in Staten Island on Sunday, according to authorities.
Jordan, 69, who was reported missing on January 18th, was found bludgeoned to death in her Clifton residence in what police believe to be a possible homicide.

Earlier in the week, the NYPD released an image of the senior citizen while asking for the public’s help in locating her.
Detectives now say they are interviewing 31-year-old Linden Beaton as a suspect in the case. He was arrested in an unrelated assault on another woman earlier this month. Beaton is only named as a person of interest at this time, say officials.
Jordan’s bruised body was found at a home off Broad St, on the 700 block of Van Duzer Street, reports silive.
According to a Van Duzer Street resident who phoned the Advance, neighbors reported a bad smell coming from the home, went in and discovered the body. Another neighbor, who asked to only be identified as Nicole, told the Advance there was a large police presence at the home around 2 p.m. Sunday, and that police spoke with a woman who lives at the home.
The medical examiner will determine her cause of death.
Beaton was already in custody and charged with assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment in connection to an attack on Beatrice Kaliku, 57, who was on her way to a prayer meeting, silive reports.
This is a developing story.
Anyone with possible information on either case should contact NYPD at 911.
