State troopers have named Elizabethton man, Scotty Lee Calloway, as the victim who died in a single-vehicle crash on Earl Williams Monday evening.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, Calloway, 44, was killed in a crash that occurred at around 7:44 p.m. in Carter County.

State troopers say Scotty Calloway, age 44, was traveling south on Earl Williams — and uphill in a 1991 Jeep. That’s when somehow his SUV left the road, on the left side, and flipped over. source
State troopers say Calloway was ejected from the Jeep.
A THP report indicates Calloway had just left a family member’s home just before the crash.
Calloway made local headlines in 2015 after being accused of leaving a dog in freezer to die while working at the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter.
