State troopers say Scotty Calloway, age 44, was traveling south on Earl Williams — and uphill in a 1991 Jeep. That’s when somehow his SUV left the road, on the left side, and flipped over. source

State troopers say Calloway was ejected from the Jeep.

A THP report indicates Calloway had just left a family member’s home just before the crash.

Calloway made local headlines in 2015 after being accused of leaving a dog in freezer to die while working at the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter.

July, 2015: “Scotty Calloway and Gene Modlin are the two former employees now facing charges for leaving “Asher” In the freezer. That freezer is where euthanized animals are kept until they are disposed of.”
