CLEVELAND, OH. (THECOUNT)Ashley Janelle Rosario, 36, was killed Thursday night in an apparent murder-suicide at a Cleveland residence, according to the Cleveland Division of Police and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office. Miguel Caraballo, 42, has been identified as the deceased shooter.

Officers with the Cleveland Police Department’s First District responded at approximately 8:33 p.m. Thursday, August 20, at a residence located at 3210 West 86th Street on Cleveland’s west side after receiving a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found Rosario suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that Caraballo shot Rosario before sustaining what investigators described as a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Cleveland EMS personnel responded to the residence and pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the victims as Caraballo and Rosario.

THECOUNT.com has learned through public records that Caraballo was known by the alternate name Miguel Angel Antonsanti.

Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances that preceded the shooting or identified a possible motive. The preliminary findings indicate that investigators are treating the deaths as an apparent murder-suicide, although the investigation remains ongoing.

Police cautioned that the information released so far is preliminary and remains subject to change as detectives continue their investigation.

The identities of both deceased individuals were released by the county medical examiner as authorities continued working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the shooting.

No additional information concerning the relationship between Caraballo and Rosario. According to Facebook, the couple has been married since 2016.

The Cleveland Division of Police continues to investigate the deaths.
