Vigo County Coroner identified Christopher Wolfe, as the suspect in the shooting death of Terre Haute Police officer Robert Pitts.
Wolfe, 21, has been identified as the shooter who died in a following a lengthily standoff. His cause of death was listed as gunshot wound and the manner of death is still under investigation.

He had previously been arrested in Vigo County for carrying a handgun without a license; possession of alcohol by a minor; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated. source
UPDATE 4: Officials said the fallen officer’s name is Robert Pitts and he is a 16-year veteran of Terre Haute police.
UPDATE 3: Girls were found safe and are in protective custody. No other information was made available. The suspect in the standoff has reportedly died. No other information was available.
UPDATE 2: The girls were last seen in Anderson, Hollywood Estates, IN., per Facebook user Shannon. In a possible unrelated area incident, there is currently a police standoff that may include at least one female hostage. It is unknown if this incident is related to the missing girls.

(ORIGINAL STORY:) Police in Anderson are searching for two teenage girls who haven’t been seen since Thursday evening, the Herald Bulletin reports.
Serenity Cannon, 12, and Phoenix Reed, 13, were last seen around 6:30 p.m. on May 3 and were last seen at a home in Hollywood Estates, Anderson. Their families say their disappearance is “highly unusual.”

Family members said the girls might have been spotted last evening at a Dollar General on Sctatterifeld Road, but that turned out to be false. The family looked at surveillance video and it was not them.
Serenity is described as 5’8″, 175 pounds, blonde hair with an undercut in the back. She was last known to be wearing a Halloween Hello Kitty shirt, black pants and grey shoes. She has some drawings on her arms and a birthmark on her right shoulder. source
Phoenix is described as 5’7″, 145 pounds, with brown hair. She was wearing a red shirt, blue vest, blue jeans, black shoes and white socks, according to the Herald Bulletin.
Serenity’s mother, Brandi Cannon, told the Herald Bulletin the girls are best friends. Phoenix recently moved to Terre Haute and was back in town for a doctor’s appointment. The girls had planned to spend the weekend together.
Neither teen had a cell phone when they disappeared. There had been a reported spotting of the girls at a Dollar General store, but Cannon said in a Facebook post that turned out to be false.
Anderson police told FOX59 they are investigating this as a runaway situation, but they do have officers actively looking for the girls.
