When Kristina June French vanished before Thanksgiving, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement released a “missing child alert” warning that she was likely with 15-year-old Logan Mott.
Logan, who is diabetic, didn’t go to Sandalwood High School in Duval County on Monday or Tuesday. His dad, Eric Mott, who was on vacation with a girlfriend, told police officers that when he returned Wednesday his house had been ransacked.

Mott told police officers that he couldn’t find French, 53, his son, a silver Dodge Dart or his guns. Detectives with the Neptune Beach Police Department, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and the FDLE are investigating the case.
“Kristina is one of the best people I have ever known,” Logan’s mother Carrie Campbell wrote on Facebook. “Kristina loves Logan dearly and Logan loves her just as much.”
Detectives believe they have located Logan and the car in Pennsylvania, and they also believe they found French’s body buried in the backyard of Mott’s home in Neptune Beach. The medical examiner’s office has yet to confirm their suspicion.
