The source and the amount of oil released is unknown at this time. The Fire Department has responded but is waiting for the state Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Environmental Protection Agency to show up.
The slick comes on the heels of an underground pipeline rupture back in May near Refugio State Beach in Santa Barbara.
