Though the father daughter actors reconciled in 2010, Jolie failed to inform her father that she was having both her famous breasts removed.. Suffice to say, Voight wasn’t involved at all in Jolie’s double mastectomy decision.
Voight, 74, divulged the shocking news that he visited his daughter last Sunday! At a family get together and Angelina did not bother to tell him a single detail! “But I didn’t know. It wasn’t obvious at all. I found out (Tuesday) morning, I was as surprised as anyone and deeply moved by the way she’s handled this.”
Other family members knew, and voiced their support but poor dad was left out in the cold like a common chump..
“I completely understand,” he said. “I want the focus to be on the inspiration.”
