Right on the heels of the Jodi Arias murder trial, we have America’s next big case all set and ready to go. The George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin case official began on Feb. 5th, with preliminary proceedings, which also would have been Trayvon’s 18th birthday.. I’m just noting that odd fact.

Judge Debra S. Nelson set Zimmerman’s jury selection to begin today, June 10, with 500 potential jurors being summoned. Zimmerman had requested a “stand your ground” hearing, but in March 2013, his defense elected to bypass the hearing so that his case would be tried before a jury.
