MOSCOW, RU. (THECOUNT) — UFC fighter, Conor McGregor, attended World Cup final in person this weekend, showing up as a personal guest President Vladimir Putin.

McGregor, 30, posted a photo of himself Sunday alongside Russia’s president, 65, posing in a classic tough guy stance with the man he refers to as “one of the greatest leaders of our time.”

Conor’s caption read … “Today I was invited to the World Cup final as a guest of Russian President Vladimir Putin. ID’d: Weymouth MA Police Officer Dead After Hit With Rock, Shot, Suspect In Custody

WAYMOUTH, MA. (THECOUNT) — A Massachusetts police department is mourning the loss of one of its own after a Weymouth police officer and a bystander were shot to death Sunday during a foot chase with a suspect following a car crash.

The Weymouth officer, 42-year-old Michael Chesna, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

The suspect, identified as Emanuel Lopes, 20, (pictured here,) struck Officer Chesna in the head with a large stone before stealing the his gun and shooting him several times, according to local reports.

A bullet also fatally struck a woman who was inside her home in Weymouth. Lopes was taken into custody and is expected in court on Monday. Continue reading

WA Family Members Killed In Kalama I-5 Rollover Crash Identified

KALAMA, WA. (THECOUNT) — The several members of a family that were killed in a rollover crash on I-5 north near Kalama, Washington, Saturday evening, have been identified.

Oferia U. Nuusolia, 60, and Lokeni A. Nuusolia, 65, were killed along with a 5-year-old child, after a vehicle operated by Daryl M. Tuimavave, 36, crashed while traveling on I-5 near Kalama.

The dead are reportedly the grandparents of the child who also died. The driver, Tuimavave, is said to be the mother of the children and the daughter of the deceased.

A Washington State Patrol official said an SUV carrying 6 people — 3 adults and 3 children — crashed and rolled over several times. Tuimavave was driving with her three kids and her parents.

Five people in the SUV were not wearing safety harnesses at the time of the crash and were subsequently ejected from the vehicle.

Investigators believe Daryl Tuimavave became distracted by something in the car and when she refocused on the road, traffic had slowed and she overcorrected, leading her SUV into the median. Troopers said the SUV rolled at possibly twice before coming to a rest on its top. Continue reading

Fresno “Freshink Tattoos” Employee Double-Murder Victims Identified Shooter Sought

FRESNO, CA. (THECOUNT) — Fresno police have named the two victims shot and killed at a Fresno tattoo parlor Saturday night, as Pisa Xayapheth and Jesse Hernandez III.

Hernandez, 35, and Xayapheth, 30, were identified as the shooting victims after gunfire erupted at Freshink Tattoos, located at 564 E Olive Ave, Fresno, CA, in Fresno’s Tower District.

Police say they are hunting for the suspect they named as 27-year-old Cruz Pedro Hinojosa.

Police officers say they found two people with multiple gunshot wounds and started CPR right away, then rushed both victims to Community Regional Medical Center, but they both died. Bridgeton NJ Man Killed In Vineland Police-Involved Shooting Identified

VINELAND, NJ. (THECOUNT) – Bridgeton, New Jersey man, Rashaun Washington, has been identified as the man shot and killed in Vineland in a police-involved incident.

Prosecutors say they are investigating the fatal shooting of Washington, 37, by New Jersey police officers late Saturday morning at a residence located on West Wood Street, Vineland, NJ.

NJ authorities with only describe the fatal incident as an “encounter,” with the victim that lasted, “several minutes.”

The Cumberland County prosecutor’s office says Vineland police officers were dispatched shortly before 11:30 a.m. Saturday after a report of an unknown man acting suspiciously on the front porch of a home on West Wood Street. Prosecutors say an encounter between the officers and the subject lasted for several minutes and ended with the person shot and killed. Los Angeles Griffith Park Observatory Shuttered Amid “Suspicious Package” Scare

LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — The Griffith Observatory was evacuated on Saturday afternoon as a police bomb squad investigated a report of a suspicious package, authorities said.

Officers responded to the scene in Griffith Park shortly before 1 p.m. following a request from a park ranger, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson.

TX Man Calls 911 To Report “Something Wrong” With Pregnant Wife – Dallas Police Find Woman Dead In Bed Shot In The Head

DALLAS, TX. (THECOUNT) — Randy Lamone Chiles has been identified as the Dallas man arrested after calling 911 to say something was wrong with a woman at a northwest Dallas apartment.

Chiles, 28, was booked Saturday afternoon on a capital murder charge in the slaying of 28-year-old Jennifer Moore, after she was found dead in bed with a gunshot wound to the head.

Chiles’ mother told police she found Moore laying lifeless on a bed in the apartment at around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday after her son had informed her that “something was wrong” with the woman. Chiles’ mother says she instructed Chiles to call 911 and then discovered the victim.

Officers responded to a 911 call to a home in the 2800 block of Clydedale Drive, claiming something was wrong with a woman in the home. That call was believed placed by Chiles.

Moore, who was five months pregnant, died from a gunshot wound in the head, according to the Dallas County medical examiner. Continue reading

NC Founder Noah’s Nook Boo-Tique Wanda Best ID’d As Drowning Victim Found Dead By Husband In Family Pool

LA GRANGE, NC. (THECOUNT) — La Grange woman, Wanda Best, has been identified as the home drowning victim Friday night.

Best, 65, was spending a night at home with her husband, Donald, when he left the residence for a short period of time to pick up food. Upon his return, he says, he found his wile face down in the backyard pool of their La Grange home.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to a drowning at a home in La Grange Friday night.

Just before 10 p.m.officers arrived at 1961 East New Hope Road and found the woman unresponsive, lying on the deck of the pool and began CPR, deputies said. Their efforts were unsuccessful. The woman, identified as 65-year-old Wanda Best, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s husband told officials he earlier left the home to get food and when he returned he could not find his wife inside the home. Continue reading

OH Man ‘J Stan Deberry’ ID’d As Victim In Friday Fatal Columbus Car Crash

COLUMBUS, OH. (THECOUNT) — Ohio authorities have identified J Stan Deberry, as the man killed in a car crash in east Columbus Friday night.

Deberry, whose age was not provided, was operating a 2004 Acura RDX while traveling near the intersection of Cole St. and Miller Ave., when he failed to stop for a red light and collided with a woman driving a 2006 Toyota Camry.

The Acura exited the roadway following the collision, rolled over and struck a line of trees.

Witnesses confirmed observing Deberry fail to stop for a red light at the time of the collision.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cole St. and Miller Ave., according to police. A woman driving a 2006 Toyota Camry westbound on Cole St. entered the intersection when she collided with a 2004 Acura RDX, driven by J Stan Deberry, going southbound on Miller Ave. Upon leaving the roadway, the RDX struck several small trees and rolled on to its passenger side. SC Woman Dead In Greenville Triple-Shooting That Injured 2 Others Identified As Veronica Elliott

GREENVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — The Greenville County coroner has identified Veronica Elliott, as the victim in a triple-shooting that killed one and sent two others to the hospital with serious injuries Friday night.

Elliott, 31, was found suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso in an incident that claimed victims on Camelot Lane and at the Crestwood Forest Apartments on Crestwood Forest Drive in Greenville, SC.

Elliott and another two victims, also suffering from gunshot wound injuries, were transported to area hospitals.

Elliott was later pronounced dead following surgery.

Police say they are seeking a suspect who may be responsible for both crimes.

Police arrived to find one person injured from at least one gunshot injury. That victim was taken to the hospital. A short time later, deputies were called to Crestwood Forest Apartments on Crestwood Forest Drive and found two more people, a man and woman, had been shot.
