BURLINGTON, NC. (THECOUNT) — Mary Elizabeth McBroom has been identified as the woman found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in Burlington, NC on Monday morning.

McBroom, 24, was found fatally shot after Burlington police responded to calls of shots fired in the 600 block of Center Avenue, in Burlington after 6:00 a.m.

The victim was transported for medical attention when she died in the ambulance, according to a report.

McBroom was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

On Monday at 6:18 a.m., Burlington police came to the 600 block of Center Avenue after a reported shooting. Officers found Mary Elizabeth McBroom, 24, suffering from a gunshot wound. McBroom died while being taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center by EMS. source
