LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — November 17, 2025 — Johnny Knoxville, the 54-year-old Jackass legend whose real name is Philip John Clapp, has tied the knot for the third time. On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Knoxville announced on Instagram that he married longtime partner, costume designer and filmmaker Emily Ting, 45.
Posting two joyful photos from the intimate outdoor ceremony — one featuring the couple with their dog Bucket under a floral arch, and another with acclaimed director John Waters as officiant — Knoxville wrote:

“It seems I have had a lot of news lately, but there is no news bigger than this… Today Emily and I got married and I’m the luckiest and happiest fella in the universe. Bucket is pretty happy too as you can see from the pictures. It was a small ceremony with family, friends, and THE best minister ever. Thank you John Waters we love you so. Ok I’m getting off Instagram now because it’s our wedding night😉, but I wanted everyone to know. Love to everybody, wahoooo!!!👰🏻♀️🤵🏻💒❤️❤️❤️”
The post quickly racked up thousands of likes and congratulatory comments from fans and celebrities alike.
A Very John Waters Wedding
Knoxville, dressed in a midnight-blue velvet tuxedo jacket with matching bow tie and white loafers, stood beside Ting, who wore a lavender minidress with a glittery cream bodice and oversized yellow bow. Their dog Bucket sat front and center. The couple posed proudly with 79-year-old cult filmmaker John Waters, who officiated the ceremony in a black suit jacket, patterned pants, and slip-on sneakers.
Waters and Knoxville have been friends since collaborating on the 2004 film A Dirty Shame, making him a fitting — and delightfully eccentric — choice to marry the couple.
From Jackass Forever to Forever
Emily Ting, born in Taipei and raised in Los Angeles, met Knoxville while working as costume designer on the 2022 film Jackass Forever. The pair began dating shortly after and made their red-carpet debut in September 2022. They have since attended multiple events together, most recently the September 2025 premiere of Hulu’s Chad Powers at the Rose Bowl.
Ting is an accomplished director in her own right, winning Best Short Film at the 2013 Omaha Film Festival and Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking at the 2019 Seattle International Film Festival for her feature Go Back to China.
Knoxville’s Previous Marriages
- First marriage: 1995–2007 to Melanie Lynn Clapp (one daughter, Madison, born 1996)
- Second marriage: 2010–2024 to Naomi Nelson (son Rocko, born 2009; daughter Arlo, born 2011)

Knoxville and Nelson officially divorced in 2024, seven months before he went public with Ting.
Congratulations poured in from across the entertainment world, with fans and fellow celebrities celebrating the Jackass star’s new chapter — complete with a “wahoooo!!!” that only Johnny Knoxville could deliver.
