ASCENSION PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Brandi Hall, of Darrow, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a Monday vehicle crash in Ascension Parish.
Hall, 39, was killed and several others were injured, in a Monday two-vehicle crash involving driver, Jennie Alexander, of Hammond, Louisiana, near Gonzales on Monday.

According to reports, Alexander was operating a Nissan Frontier on US-61 near South Purpera Avenue in Gonzales, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 3:30 Monday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Chevrolet Equinox.
Hall, a passenger in the Equinox, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Equinox was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries. A juvenile passenger of the Equinox was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Alexander was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Alexander was later arrested for Negligent Homicide, Negligent Injuring, and Careless Operation and booked in the Ascension Parish Jail.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
