HENDERSON COUNTY, KY. (THECOUNT) — Martha Hale, of Huntingburg, Indiana, has been identified as the driver arrested in a suspected OWI crash that killed pedestrian, 54-year-old Stephanie K. Taylor in Henderson County, Kentucky on Thursday morning.
Hale, 20, was arrested and charged with OWI- fatality, OWI- endangerment, possession of marijuana, and driving while suspended, following a deadly vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in Henderson Thursday morning.

According to reports, Hale was operating a vehicle near a Denny’s on US Highway 41 in Henderson, when the vehicle came into contact with Taylor, who was on-foot around 6 a.m. Thursday.
Taylor was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Hale was transported to an area hospital for a chemical test and the vehicle was impounded and searched by police. According to police, Hale’s test resulted with a “presumptive positive” of marijuana in her system, and marijuana was found inside the vehicle.
Hale was booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
