THE BRONX, NY. (THECOUNT) — Shelly Vilsaint, of Bayonne, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a fiery fatal vehicle crash in New York Tuesday morning.
Vilsaint, 49, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in The Bronx early Tuesday morning.

According to reports, Vilsaint was operating a Range Rover on Cross Bronx Expressway near University Avenue, when the vehicle came into rear-end contact with a stopped tractor-trailer carrying mail around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Range Rover was then rear-ended by a second big-rig. All three vehicle then burst into flames.
Vilsaint was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma and thermal injuries at the scene.
The truck drivers were uninjured in the wreck.
No charges have been filed and no one was cited at the scene.
Vilsaint was a special education teacher for the New York City public schools.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
