NY Man Shaquan Wilson ID’d As Victim In Friday Night Bronx Fatal Shooting

BRONX, NY. (THECOUNT) — Shaquan Wilson, of The Bronx, New York, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal shooting in Bronx County.

Wilson, 21, was shot dead near The Bronx Friday night.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in area of 1741 Randall Avenue in The Bronx around 10:40 p.m. Friday. When they arrived, Wilson was found suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.

The suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants with a white stripe on the side, black sneakers and a white face mask.

Wilson was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead fo gunshot injuries.

Bronx Saturday Morning Subway Double-Stabbing Leaves 1 Dead

BRONX, NY. (THECOUNT) — The NYPD is investigating after a double-stabbing on a subway platform in the Bronx left one man dead and another fighting for his life in an area hospital.

Police say, a black male in his 40’s who was wearing a grey sweater, stabbed two men – one 25-year-old fatally, and the other 28 – at the Morrison Avenue/Soundview station.

The attack happened just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday on the 6 train southbound platform, reports ABC7NY.

The 25-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of stab wounds.

The 28-year-old man was transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect fled on foot.

6 trains were bypassing the Morrison Avenue/Soundview station in both directions as police completed their investigation.

NYPD Officer Slain Sunday ID’d As Brian Mulkeen Bronx Borough Anti-Crime Unit Officer

NEW YORK, NY. (THECOUNT) — New York City police officer, Brian Mulkeen, was shot and killed in the Bronx area Sunday after an early morning struggle with a suspect, according to Sunday reports.

The NYPD identified the slain officer as 33-year-old Mulkeen as the victim.

The fallen officer was patrolling the streets around the Edenwald Houses as part of the Bronx Borough Anti-Crime Unit, which was in the area because of gang activity, Chief of Department Terence Monahan said at a press conference at Jacobi Medical Center.

Mulkeen and his partner tried to apprehend a man who had fled questioning, and a struggle on the ground ensued, Monahan said.

Officials said Mulkeen can be heard yelling “he’s reaching for it, he’s reaching for it” on body camera video. Mulkeen was subsequently struck by three bullets, reports NBC4i.

NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill wrote on Facebook: “NYPD Police Officer Brian Mulkeen, a 33-yr-old Bronx cop, was killed about 12:30 a.m. while doing the courageous work New Yorkers needed him to do. He served for nearly 7 years. There is no worse a moment in our profession than this. Please keep Brian’s family & colleagues in your thoughts.”

Bronx Man Dead After Jumping In Front Of ‘A Train’ While Holding 5-Year-Old Girl

KINGSBRIDGE HEIGHTS, THE BRONX, NY. (THECOUNT) — An unidentified man holding a 5-year-old child died Monday after reportedly jumping in front of an oncoming subway train in the Bronx with his child, according to police.

The father was killed when he was struck by No. 4 train while holding the child, according to PIX11 Monday morning.

Authorities said the man jumped in front of an oncoming Manhattan-bound No. 4 train at the Kingsbridge Road station while holding his 5-year-old daughter, reports PIX11.

The man pronounced dead at the scene, according to officers.

Police said the daughter survived, and a photo provided to PIX11 News shows her alert and seemingly crying while being held by an FDNY official at the scene.
