BRONX, NY. (THECOUNT) — The NYPD is investigating after a double-stabbing on a subway platform in the Bronx left one man dead and another fighting for his life in an area hospital.

Police say, a black male in his 40’s who was wearing a grey sweater, stabbed two men – one 25-year-old fatally, and the other 28 – at the Morrison Avenue/Soundview station.

The attack happened just after 4:30 a.m. Saturday on the 6 train southbound platform, reports ABC7NY.

The 25-year-old victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of stab wounds.

The 28-year-old man was transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

The suspect fled on foot.

6 trains were bypassing the Morrison Avenue/Soundview station in both directions as police completed their investigation.
