MADEIRA BEACH, FL. (THECOUNT) — Justin Leng That, of Clearwater, Florida, has been arrested in the brutal January stabbing death of Madeira Beach man, John Forest.

That, 28, was arrested for second-degree murder Friday after Pinellas County detectives determined he stabbed and killed 47-year-old Forest in early January.

According to reports, officials responded to a call of a stabbing on Friday, Jan. 10 around 3 a.m. Upon arrival, police said the suspect told deputies he met Forest at a local bar earlier that night and returned to the victim’s home to smoke marijuana but got into a verbal argument.

Detectives said the argument turned physical and That grabbed a knife and stabbed Forest 10 times in the face and neck. He then reportedly fled the scene, disposed the knife and called 911, reports WFLA.

The incident occurred at the home of the victim, located at 14054 Miramar Ave., in Madeira Beach.

Forest suffered 10 laceration to the face and neck.

That was arrested Friday, March 6 and charged with second degree murder.
