PLYMOUTH COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Carl Mattson and Vicki Mattson, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, have been identified as the victims found murdered in their residence on Tuesday night.

Police say they are seeking 27-year-old Christopher Keeley, the suspect in the grisly killings who is believed to have been acquainted with the couple.

Carl, 72 and 71-year-old Vicki, were found deceased with “obvious signs of trauma” in their Marshfield home just after 9 p.m. Tuesday by police responding to a well-being check. Officials say they appear to have been stabbed and beaten to death.

According to officials, Keeley targeted the couple and the murders were not a random act of violence. A motive was not provided.

Keeley, who is considered armed and dangerous, may be driving a black Jeep Wrangler that belonged to the victims, Cruz said. It’s unclear how long he has been gone and he may be out of state, he said.

Keeley, who faces murder charges, may have changed his appearance, including dyeing his hair red, Marshfield police Chief Phillip Tavares said.

Anyone with any information on the case should contact police at 911.
