MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Jace Hochstetler and Elizabeth Simpson, both of Glendale, Arizona, have been identified as the victims in a Sunday triple-fatal vehicle crash in Maricopa County.
Hochstetler, 31, and 36-year-old Simpson, were both killed in a Peoria crash that also took the life of a teenager and critically injured several children Sunday night.

According to reports, Simpson was operating a Mazda van on North 107th Avenue near West Lone Cactus Drive in Peoria, when a Jeep SUV came into contact with the Mazda around 9 p.m. Sunday.
Simpson and her passenger, Hochstetler, were both pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
A 14-year-old girl traveling in the Mazda was transported to an area hospital where she later died of injuries suffered in the wreck.
Three children, also traveling in the Mazda, were transported to the hospital – two suffering life-threatening injuries.
The Jeep driver, who is facing possible impairment charges, wasn’t seriously injured in the wreck.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
