According to a fundraiser, Boburmirzo Sharipov (pictured,) was a Syracuse University student heading home for Thanksgiving break.
“Boburmirzo Sharipov was a third year Syracuse University student, coming down to New York City to see his family for Thanksgiving Break. A tragic car accident took his life at 20 years old on his way home from Syracuse, at around 6:30PM on November 18th in Ghent NY. Bob was a family-oriented, goal-driven individual, with high hopes he was working towards with the biggest motivation. Everyone always gravitated towards him at any family gathering; always cracking jokes and lightening up any mood. His family cannot fathom & is still having trouble accepting what happened. We are hoping to raise money to help his family with burial and funeral. Even if you are unable to donate, leaving a comment with a memory of him would also be very helpful. Thank you”
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
