CLARKE COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Demetrius Pope, of Athens, Georgia, has been identified as the victim of an apparent drive-by shooting Monday night in Clarke County.
Pope, 21, was killed in a shooting in front of an Athens Home Monday night.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired at an East Athens home around 11 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, Pope was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
Pope was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
The suspect vehicle was described only as a dark sedan. Police said a witness did not know the make or model of the car.
Detectives have not yet pinned down a motive or identified the assailant.
Detectives are also trying to determine if a shooting at Pope’s home on Oct. 26 is related to Monday night’s fatal shooting.
