AUBURN, AL. (THECOUNT) — Zhuobin Wang has been identified as the suspect charged with two counts Capital Murder and one count Attempt to Commit Murder in the stabbing death of an adult man during an apparent robbery Thursday night at a couple’s Auburn, Alabama home.
The brutal attack occurred at a home on Monroe Drive near Richland Road & Cotswold Way in Auburn Thursday night. A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured and remains in an area hospital recovering from stab wounds.

Auburn investigators say they believe the stabbing occurred in front of the couple’s children.
Wang remains behind bars at the Lee County Detention Facility on no bond.
Auburn police released the following information:
On October 22, 2020 at about 7:15 p.m. Auburn Police responded to an assault in the 700 block of Monroe Drive. APD Officers, along with personnel from Auburn Fire and EAMC Emergency Medical Services, arrived on the scene and discovered two victims suffering from injuries requiring immediate medical attention. Officers also located a third person in the 700 block of Monroe Drive determined to be the suspect in the assaults. Both victims were taken from the scene by emergency medical personnel. The preliminary investigation indicates that the assault was not a random act. The victims and the suspect were known to one another.
