LAGRANGE COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Trent McDowell, of Howe, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in LaGrange County Tuesday night.
McDowell, 53, was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening near Fremont.

According to Indiana State Police, McDowell was operating an SUV on IN-120, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Tuesday evening. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree and rolled over.
McDowell, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
