PUTNAM COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Officials in Putnam County, Tennessee, are trying to locate for 38 people who have gone missing following an early Tuesday morning tornado.
So far, seventeen people were confirmed dead as crews search in the hardest-hit areas for more victims.

Officials say they hope the missing people have just not checked in with loved ones and do not even know they have been reported missing.
