JACKSONVILLE, FL. (THECOUNT) — Highly rated and beloved Florida State College Professor Miriam Folk, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash in Jacksonville, Florida on Monday.

Folk, 80, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon in Jacksonville.

According to officials, Folk was operating a vehicle departing the Sandollar Restaurant in Jacksonville, when her vehicle collided with another vehicle traveling in the 9000 block of Heckscher Dr.

The driver of the vehicle that struck her was driving without a valid driver’s license. They and their three passengers were uninjured, reports unfspinnaker.

Folk was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

Folk had been teaching since 2005 and was highly rated on RateMyProfessor.

She is a great teacher gives a lot of work so i wouldn’t take her if i had a full schedule but its almost impossible to fail her class she works extremely hard so you can pass.

She is an awesome teacher she gives a lot of work but she allows you to catch up and give you a lot of time to finish. Doesn’t really trip on absences as long as your work up to date. she words really hard to make sure you pass.

According to Facebook, she was also a former school principal at a school in Pennsylvania.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
