WEST WAREHAM, MA. (THECOUNT) — Ajani Mitchell, of Brockton, MA, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wareham single-vehicle crash Monday night.

Mitchell, 19, was killed after a vehicle he was operating crashed and rollover into the woods on Route 495 northbound Monday night.

According to officials, State Police-Bourne responded to reports of a single vehicle crash on Route 495 Northbound at mile marker .2 in Wareham, around 10 p.m. Monday night.

When troopers arrived, they discovered Mitchell‘s Nissan Rogue wrecked in the woods.

Police determined preliminary that Mitchell was traveling on Route 495, when for unknown reasons, his vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then entered a culvert and flipped over into a wooded area.

Mitchell was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and Mitchell was the sole occupant of the Nissan, state police said, reports Wareham.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
