SPOKANE, WA. (THECOUNT) — Officials say 60-70 cars are involved in spinouts and some subsequent crashes on Interstate 90 near Spokane, according to reports.
The Washington State Patrol told qfox that heavy snowfall and icy roads were to blame. Five to six people were taken with non life-threatening injuries to nearby hospitals.

Some lanes were expected to remain closed into Tuesday evening, troopers said.
Authorities now say there are between 60-70 cars involved the crash on I-90 near the Geiger interchange. Either 5 or 6 people been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
