MEMPHIS, TN. (THECOUNT) — Silas Gaither, a former contestant from “Survivor: Africa,” season 3, was taken into custody in Shelby County, Tennessee, after being indicted on aggravated rape charges, according to Tuesday morning reports.
According to court records, Gaither, 41, was indicted by a grand jury on rape and aggravated assault charges Nov. 13.

Gaither was booked into jail Monday before posting bond.
Records show the alleged incident happened in May of 2018, reports WMAC Tuesday morning.
No further information was immediately provided by charging officials as of Tuesday morning.
Gaither, of Germantown, Tennessee, is also an actor, known for My True Self, XSTV: Xtreme Sport Television and What I Like About You, according to IMDB.
Survivor: Africa was the third season of the popular CBS competitive reality television series Survivor. Silas Gaither, originally from Germantown, Tennessee, recently moved to Los Angeles. Gaither graduated with a BA in Finance from University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2000, and is currently bartending in West Los Angeles while pursuing a career in acting.
