THOMSON, GA. (THECOUNT) — Amarione Thampson has been identified as the Thomson High School student killed in a Saturday morning crash near the school, according to reports.
Thampson, 16, was operating a vehicle on White Oak Rd when the fatal crash occurred Saturday after 10:40 a.m. in Thomson, Georgia.

The McDuffie County Coroner’s Office confirmed the student’s death saying officials determined, Thampson was driving on White oak Rd, when for unknown reasons, he crossed centerlines and was T-Boned by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
Thampson was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma.
