ATLANTA, GA. (THECOUNT) — The two suspects accused of murdering a Clark Atlanta student, Alexis Crawford, who was missing for a week – are now in police custody.

Atlanta police confirmed they secured a warrant and arrested 21-year-old Jordyn Jones, who was Crawford’s roommate. Jones is charged with malice murder.

Jones is being taken to the Fulton County jail for booking. Her boyfriend Barron Brantley, who is also charged in Crawford’s death, was booked Friday night, reports WSB.

Missing student was found dead, according to Rev. Markel Hutchins Friday Afternoon.

Crawford was identified as the missing Clark Atlanta University student, according to reports. Her family begged for her safe return.

According to a police report filed by her family on Nov. 1 at around 10:45 p.m., Crawford’s mother, Tammy Crawford, said she last spoke to her daughter on Oct. 30 and that she “seemed to be in good spirits and was laughing” during the conversation, reports 11Alive.

Crawford, 21, was last seen departing her off-campus apartment on October 30th, the last day her family and her spoke.

Crawford was last seen wearing a black t-shirt or hoodie and a cheetah print head scarf, reports ABC3340.

Atlanta Police is holding a news conference to give an update in the case about at 5 p.m.
