LITTLE ROCK, AR. (THECOUNT) — Bass fishing icon Jerry McKinnis has passed away Sunday, according to multiple reports. He was 82 years old.

McKinnis, the former co-owner of B.A.S.S. and founder of JM Associates, also hosted a popular fishing television show “Fishing Hole” that ran on ESPN for over 4 decades.

According to Jim Sexton of B.A.S.S., McKinnis had been in the hospital for the past six weeks fighting an infection caused by an injury sustained on a Wyoming fishing trip, reports Wired2Fish.
