GREENVILLE, SC. (THECOUNT) — Katrina Aliff has been identified as the suspect arrested after allegedly luring an 11-year-old Minnesota girl and transporting her to Greenville, South Carolina, where she then began molesting the child in her apartment, according to reports.
Aliff, 23, a former Ohio dog training instructor, is now facing federal charges after knowingly causing the child victim to “engage in sexual acts after traveling from South Saint Paul, Minnesota to Greenville, South Carolina,” say federal officials.

The affidavit said authorities were notified on Sept. 8 that a girl, who is under 12 years old, was kidnapped from South St. Paul and had traveled to South Carolina between Sept. 6 and 8.
The complaint alleges that Aliff knowingly caused the child victim under the age of 12 to “engage in sexual acts after traveling from South Saint Paul, Minnesota to Greenville, South Carolina.” On September 8, 2019, South Carolina law enforcement officers were notified of a kidnapping out of South St. Paul, Minnesota. Authorities figured out a possible location where the child was believed to be “which was identified as Aliff’s current residence,” heavy.
The affidavit said the child was found Sept. 8 in a bedroom at Aliff’s apartment.

The affidavit said that in March, Aliff and the girl met online through Amino and then began texting and messaging each other on Discord. By late April and early May, the two expressed feelings for each other and “began a more intimate relationship,” according to an affidavit.
On Sept. 2, the affidavit said, the child’s father found messages between Aliff and his daughter and the father destroyed the child’s phone.
On Sept. 4, the child began communicating with Aliff through a tablet when visiting family members, the affidavit said.
On Sept. 7, Aliff traveled to Minnesota and picked up the child and tried to destroy her own cell phone by putting it in coffee so she could not be tracked, according to the affidavit.
Aliff and the girl arrived in Greenville on Sept. 8 and engaged in sexual activity, the affidavit said.
Aliff is charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a child under 12 and transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity or aggravated sexual abuse of a child, reports WYFF.
