PARIS, FR> (THECOUNT) — An employee, possibly a police officer, armed with a knife, fatally attacked fellow officers inside police headquarters in Paris on Thursday and was shot dead, a police source told CNN.
At least four police officer was killed and another seriously injured, the source said. There is no indication of a motive yet.

The station is located near Notre Dame Cathedral on the Île de la Cité, an island in the center of Paris. The island is on lockdown, with roads cordoned off by police and firemen and ambulances on the scene, reports WKCL.
