PHENIX CITY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Kentavis Perry of Opelika, Louisiana, has been identified as the body found in Phenix City on Saturday, according to reports.

Perry, 23, was found deceased in what Phenix City police are investigating as a homicide.

Police responded to Dolphin Ct. in Phenix City on reports of a deceased male in a grassy area around 9:01 a.m. on Sept. 28..

When they arrived, officers discovered Perry suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. He appeared to been killed yesterday, Sept. 27, or in the early morning hours of Sept. 28.

Perry’s vehicle, a black 2000 Chevrolet C-1500 pickup truck with Alabama license plate TMR014 was not located at the scene. It is believed he drove this vehicle to Dolphin Ct., reports WTVM.
