PIEDMONT, SC. (THECOUNT) — Terry Brent Thomas has been identified as the body was found in a Piedmont garbage truck Wednesday afternoon, according to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.
Officials said the body 57-year-old Thomas was discovered in the truck at the Waste Industries facility on Estes Plant Road in Piedmont around 1 p.m.

Officials said there were no immediate signs of foul play, but investigators are still working to determine when and how Thomas died. There was no explanation on how the body got inside the truck.
An autopsy will be performed Thursday to help get those answers.
Greenville County deputies are also investigating.
