GARDEN GROVE, CA. (THECOUNT) — Police released a disturbing new video Thursday showing the viciousness of one of the multiple attacks in Orange County, California on Wednesday.

In the video, the suspect, Zachary Castaneda, is seen entering an insurance office in Garden Grove.

He approaches a woman sitting at a desk and then pulls out two long knives that had been concealed in his shirt. With a blade in each hand, he repeatedly stabs and slashes at the woman as she desperately tries to fend off the attack with just a low desk separating them.

She manages to stand up and retreat to the back of the office and tries to put chairs between them as he continues approaching. Then he notices another person at a window counter in the office. He approaches the window, grabs some cash and takes off, reports ABC7.

Police say the woman seen in the video survived the attack and was treated for her wounds.

Two of four of the victims in an Orange County, CA, stabbing rampage on Wednesday have been identified.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department say, Pascual Rioja Lorenzo, 39, is the man fatally stabbed at a Subway parking lot on 1st Street in Santa Ana. The Garden Grove resident was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, identified as 58-year-old Robert Parker, was a security guard in a 7-Eleven in Santa Ana. The resident of Orange was stabbed inside the store and rushed to the hospital but later died.

The suspect in a series of fatal Orange County, California, stabbings Wednesday night, has been identified as 33-year-old Castaneda, police confirmed Thursday.

Authorities on Thursday were still trying to contact the families of the victims and piece together a motive for the attacks, reports KTLA.

We can now confirm 4 people are dead in Orange County, California as police investigate a series of stabbings, including one at an apartment complex in Garden Grove and another at a Santa Ana 7-Eleven on Wednesday.

Officials indicated the stabbings may be related.

Information on the victims was not immediately made available, but one body appeared to be lying on the ground at one scene and paramedics were seen performing CPR on a different man at the 7-Eleven, reports KABC7.

One person was seen handcuffed and talking to officers near the 7-Eleven but it was not known if he was considered a suspect.

News helicopters showed a large police presence descending on the complex, located in the 12000 block of Jentges Avenue.

Garden Grove police were also investigating a separate stabbing that left a 62-year-old woman dead in her apartment. The victim’s son is a person of interest in the case.

It’s unknown whether the stabbings are connected.
