GREENSBORO, NC. (THECOUNT) — Seth Winstead, of Pelham, North Carolina, has been identified as the wrong-way, impaired driver that struck another vehicle on Interstate 40 in Greensboro on Sunday. The crash also caused a tractor-trailer to overturn while trying to avoid the crash.
Winstead, 24, was operating a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado truck the wrong-way on I-40 Eastbound at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday when he collided head-on with a 2018 Jeep Renegade driven by a 33-year-old Kannapolis woman.

The violent crash occurred between East Gate City Boulevard and Youngs Mill Road, in Greensboro.
Both drivers were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries, according to police.
Winstead was charged with driving while impaired. Police said more charges are expected, reports MyFox8.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
The investigation is ongoing.
