GREEN BAY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Jonathon Tubby, of Green Bay, has been identified as the man shot and killed Friday by Green Bay Police.
Tubby, 26, had been arrested earlier that night on a warrant for failing to report to jail for a 2017 drunken driving conviction.

Two Green Bay Police officers, Erik O’Brien and Colton Wernecke, are on paid administrative pending the outcome of an investigation of the shooting. O’Brien has been with the department for six years. Wernecke is a trainee with three months on the job.
Jonathon C. Tubby, 26, was identified by the state Department of Justice on Friday as the man who was shot and killed during an incident Friday night in the sally port at the Brown County Jail. The sally port is an enclosed, garage-like area where officers drive in, park and walk suspects into the jail. source
Tubby and a woman who has not been named by police were arrested for outstanding warrants during a traffic stop on the 300 block of Main Street at 7:20 p.m. Friday, police said.
No other information about the shooting was made public Friday.
