WI Girl Nevaeha Ware ID’d As Teen Fatally Shot In Milwaukee Vehicle Saturday

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Nevaeha Ware has been identified by Milwaukee police on Monday as the 13-year-old girl who was shot and killed Saturday inside a vehicle.

Ware, who was featured in a 2017 Journal Sentinel story on her first day back to school following the fatal shooting of her brother, was shot dead in Milwaukee Saturday.

According to reports, Ware was seated in a vehicle in the 6500 block of West Congress Street in Milwaukee, when someone in another vehicle opened fire around 6:46 p.m. Saturday.

Ware was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

The teen was featured in a 2017 Journal Sentinel story. Columnist James Causey visited Samuel Clemens Elementary School to talk to third graders and he happened to visit on Ware’s first day back at school, three days after her brother was shot in the head and killed, reports JSOnline. She was 9 at the time.

WI Man Brian Ahlert ID’d As Victim In Saturday Night Fatal Janesville Motorcycle Crash

DANE COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Brian Dennis Ahlert, of Janesville, Wisconsin, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Dane County Saturday night.

Ahlert, 50, aka, Brian Alhert, was killed in a Saturday night motorcycle crash that also critically injured his passenger near Janesville.

According to reports, Ahlert was operating a motorcycle near Highway 11 in Janesville, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8 p.m. Saturday night. The bike then made contact with a raised curb median.

Ahlert and his passenger were both ejected from the motorcycle during the wreck. They were transported to an area hospital where Ahlert was later pronounced dead od blunt force trauma injuries. His passenger was listed in critical condition.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Gene Binder, of Coloma, Wisconsin, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday motorcycle crash in Columbia County.

Binder, 32, was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a semi-truck near Caledonia on Monday morning.

According to reports, Binder was operating a motorcycle on State Highway 33 near Trunk & Tritz Road in Caledonia, when the bike came into contact with a big-rig around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Binder was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

MILWAUKEE, WI. (THECOUNT) — Police are reporting that they are on the scene of an active shooter situation at the MillerCoors facility in Milwaukee.

The scene is located at MillerCoors, LLC on West Highland Boulevard in Milwaukee, WI.

Investigators described the scene as an “active situation.”

Police would not confirm that there was a shooting.

Multiple sources say there are several victims.

A MillerCoors employee said she received an email about an active shooter near Building 4, reports WISN.

MillerCoors public relations confirmed there was an incident.

They were still gathering details and could not comment further.

WI Teen Alvin Cole ID’d As Victim Sunday Night Wauwatosa Mayfair Mall Shooting

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Alvin Cole, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has been identified as the teen killed in a police-involved shooting following an altercation inside Wauwatosa Mayfair Mall on Sunday night.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner reported that the fatal shooting occurred at Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa on Sunday night.

A mall employee told police he saw a fight between a group of people about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in front of the Sephora store.

Security responded and escorted the group from the mall. Security called Wauwatosa police. At least one person reported seeing a handgun, and when officers arrived, four people ran away, reports WinonaDailyNews.

A large police presence and EMS personnel were seen arriving to the mall Sunday night.

WI Man Jacob Jackson Reported Missing Saturday After Departing Packers Ave Madison

MADISON, WI. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Jackson, of Madison, WI, has gone missing Friday night, according to officials.

Jackson, 34, was last seen departing his home, located at 3602 Packers Ave, APT 209, Madison, WI on Friday evening.

According to authorities, Jackson went missing around 6 p.m. on Jan. 10.

Jackson is described as 5’4″ tall, weighing around 220 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing an army-style fatigue jacket and was carrying his backpack and a black briefcase. He is thought to be wearing glasses and recently shaved his beard, reports Fox6Now.

Authorities say Jackson may be traveling to California.

WI Men David Erdman & Kurtis Shernell ID’d As Victims In Lake Nokomis Double-Fatal Snowmobile Accident

TOMAHAWK, WI. (THECOUNT) — David Erdman and Kurtis Shernell, of Hustisford, Wisconsin, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal snowmobile accident on Sunday at Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk.

Erdman, 31, and Shernell, 27, were killed after their snowmobiles fell through the ice while visiting Lake Nokomis on Sunday.

A third man, a 26-year-old from Sussex, survived in ordeal.

Investigators said the men were snowmobiling near River Road in the town of Nokomis around 3 a.m., reports WSAW.

The 26-year-old man’s snowmobile did break through the ice, but he was able to get out and call 911.

IL Man Corvasie ‘Lil Yayo’ Weaver Sought In Overnight Murder Of WI Man At Janesville House Party

JANESVILLE, WI. (THECOUNT) — Corvasie Weaver, of Joliet, Illinois, has been identified as the suspect sought over a fatal shooting early Sunday in Janesville, Wisconsin.

“Lil Yayo” Weaver, 24, is accused of opening fire on a 40-year-old man while attending a house party in Janesville overnight.

According to reports, Janesville police responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of West Racine Street around 5 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they discovered a man in the street suffering from apparent gunshot injuries.

Police say, the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Officials believe the men were involved in some type of verbal argument that ended with Weaver shooting the victim.

The victim has not been identified as of Sunday evening.

OSHA Investigating After WI ‘Sub-Zero’ Plant Worker Killed In Fitchburg ‘Trapped In Machinery’

FITCHBURG, WI. (THECOUNT) — A worker at Sub-Zero in Fitchburg has reportedly been killed after becoming trapped in a piece of machinery, according to Sunday reports.

Emergency crews responded to the high-end appliance company Friday night on a call of an injured individual. The person reporting said the victim was not breathing and had no pulse, Fitchburg police Sgt. Andrew McCarthy said.

The trapped employee was extricated from the machine by the Fire Department and pronounced dead at the scene, McCarthy said.

Authorities had not released the employee’s name, reports CTPost.

The incident appears to be accidental, McCarthy said.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Fitchburg police and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating, along with representatives from Sub-Zero.

Sub-Zero also produces the “Cove” line of dishwashers brand and the “Wolf” brand of cooking surfaces, stoves and ovens.

WI Man ‘Randal Landwehr’ ID’d As Good Samaritan Killed Tuesday On I-39 ‘Helping Motorist Change Tire’

SCHOFIELD, WI. (THECOUNT) — Randal Landwehr, of Marathon, Wisconsin, has been identified as the Good Samaritan killed while assisting a disabled motorist on Interstate 39 in Schofield, according to Wednesday morning reports.

Landwehr, 62, was fatally struck and after stopping to help another motorist fix a flat tire on I-39 on Tuesday night near Milton.

According to officials, Landwehr was run over by a possible drunk driver around 7:15 p.m. as he walked back to his truck to retrieve some tools to help a man from Bessmer, Michigan change a tire on his camper.

Landwehr was hit by a truck driven by a 53-year-old Mosinee man. A police report says alcohol was involved in the crash. The driver has not been identified, reports WSAU.

The State Patrol says the accident remains under investigation.
