
WI Girl Nevaeha Ware ID’d As Teen Fatally Shot In Milwaukee Vehicle Saturday

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Nevaeha Ware has been identified by Milwaukee police on Monday as the 13-year-old girl who was shot and killed Saturday inside a vehicle.
Ware, who was featured in a 2017 Journal Sentinel story on her first day back to school following the fatal shooting of her brother, was shot dead in Milwaukee Saturday.

According to reports, Ware was seated in a vehicle in the 6500 block of West Congress Street in Milwaukee, when someone in another vehicle opened fire around 6:46 p.m. Saturday.
Ware was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
The teen was featured in a 2017 Journal Sentinel story. Columnist James Causey visited Samuel Clemens Elementary School to talk to third graders and he happened to visit on Ware’s first day back at school, three days after her brother was shot in the head and killed, reports JSOnline. She was 9 at the time.
