LACKAWANNA, PA. (THECOUNT) — Rep Sid Michaels Kavulich, a lawmaker from Lackawanna County, has passed away, according to reports.
Kavulich, 62, represented the 114th District of the state house since he was elected in 2010.

The 114th District covers parts of Lackawanna County.
The Democrat from Taylor died after having heart surgery earlier this month.

Kavulich’s staff released the sad news on Twitter:
“We are so sad to tell you that Sid passed away overnight due to complications from heart surgery. Please join us in keeping his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
