Jessica Owens, of Salyersville, KY., has been named as the victim who died in a head-on crash on KY-321 Wednesday night.
Owens, 42, was traveling on KY-321 near the Bays Branch area, in Prestonsburg, KY., before 9:30 p.m. when the fatal crash occurred. The driver of the other vehicle, Elizabeth Lemaster, required the Jaws Of Life to extricate her from the mangled vehicle. She was airlifted to Cabell-Huntington Hospital.

Police say Lemaster was driving northbound near the Highlands Regional Medical Center when her vehicle left the lane, bounced off the guardrail into the southbound lane, and hit Owens’ vehicle head-on.
It happened on the edge of the Wireman Shoals Bridge coming from KY-321 near the Bays Branch area. source
Police have not ruled out filing charges in the case. It is unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved in the deadly crash.
